Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about PVD display cases and trade-in.

What LEGO items do you accept for trade-in?

We accept sealed sets, open box (new), built complete sets, minifigures, retired sets, and bulk LEGO. We do not accept non-LEGO bricks, heavily damaged sets, or custom MOC builds.

How is my trade-in valued?

Our team evaluates each item based on current market value, condition, completeness, and demand. Phase 1 pricing is done manually by our review team — we do not use automated pricing.

What is the difference between cash and store credit?

Cash offers are paid directly via PayPal or Zelle. Store credit offers are 10-20% higher in value and can be used toward PVD display cases, accessories, and selected products.

Is the initial quote guaranteed?

No. The initial quote is an estimate based on the information and photos you provide. The final offer is determined after we physically inspect the items. If the condition matches your description, we honor the original quote.

What happens if my items don't match the description?

If there is a significant difference between your description and the actual condition, we will send a revised offer. You can accept the revised offer or request your items back (return shipping may apply).

How long does the process take?

Initial quote: 1-2 business days. After you ship your items: inspection usually takes 2-3 business days after receipt. Payment or credit is issued within 2-3 business days after approval.

Who pays for shipping?

For higher-value trade-ins, PVD may provide a prepaid shipping label. For smaller trade-ins, customers are responsible for shipping costs. Local drop-off may also be available.

Does store credit expire?

Store credit is valid for 18 months from the date of issue. We will notify you before your credit expires.

Can I use store credit with a regular purchase?

Yes. You can apply store credit at checkout to reduce the amount charged to your payment method.

What if I change my mind after accepting an offer?

You can cancel before shipping your items. Once items are shipped, the accepted offer is binding unless inspection reveals a material difference.

Do you accept bulk LEGO by weight?

Yes, but on a case-by-case basis. Bulk LEGO has higher sorting and inspection costs, so offers are more conservative. Please include photos and an estimated weight in your submission.

What display cases do you sell?

We offer premium cast acrylic display cases in multiple sizes — from small cases for Ideas and Creator sets to large cases for UCS Star Wars and Technic super cars. We also offer minifigure display frames and lighted cases.

Is PVD affiliated with the LEGO Group?

No. PVD is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the LEGO Group. LEGO® is a trademark of the LEGO Group. Our display cases are designed to be compatible with LEGO® sets.
